How to Write Sales Landing Pages Even if You’re Not a Copywriter

Landing page copy should help people solve their frustrations and achieve their aims.

So, always start with sneaking into the mind of potential buyers:
  1. What problem do they want to escape? How does that problem make them feel?
  2. What aim do they want to achieve? How will that improve their lives?
A product bridges the gap between where people are right now and where they want to be. For instance, someone might buy a course to improve their LinkedIn skills because they feel they’re wasting too much time achieving nothing (that’s their frustration) and they want to get more interaction and quality business leads (that’s their aim). The landing page should describe what people will learn so they can solve their frustrations and achieve their aims.

When you align your offer with what web visitors want to achieve (and when you do so using their words), it becomes much easier to increase conversions.
Always remember: People don’t buy a product, they buy a better life.

Answer these 10 questions to write awesome landing page copy.

Answering these 10 questions will help you figure out what your landing page copy needs to say to convert prospects into customers to help you write awesome copy:
  1. What is it that you’re selling?
  2. Who will benefit from your offer most?
  3. How much do your prospects know about their problems and your solution?
  4. What problems does your offer solve?
  5. What results do your prospects expect?
  6. What reservations / fears do they have?
  7. What criteria do they use when deciding whether to buy from you?
  8. What words do your existing customers use exactly to answer questions 4-7? Use those words in your copy.
  9. Why should they buy from you and not your competitors?
  10. Who are your competitors?

Aweber's new landing page builder... is it any good?

Hey,

Finally! Aweber has its own Landing page builder.

(It only took them about 4 years to get with the competition! lol ... Better late than never, I say!)

Yay! Yet another reason to be a happy Aweber user.

If you don't know about Aweber - it's an email marketing automation app (tool) that allows you to make your email marketing easier and more profitable. I.E. create email contacts lists, set up automated follow-up sequences, send instant broadcasts, etc.

Basically, if you want to build an email list with a simple tool, and get good deliverability, then Aweber is my #1 recommended email autoresponder.

I've been using Aweber for many years.

So how about this new landing page builder?

It's actually pretty cool.

  1. It's simple and minimalist while giving you enough customizing options.
  2. It's not clunky and over-complicated like other page builders.
  3. It's all smooth, "drag and drop". It works well.
  4. The best thing is though that the published pages load mega fast!

There are a few things that could be better though...

First, there a not a lot of templates available right now (I think 6 generic ones) but, they are all fully customizable.

But overall, this is a nice addition to Aweber's great email marketing system.

This new Page builder makes it easier for the beginner marketer to start building an email list.

It removes one extra step (and the extra cost) of using a 3rd party page builder which involves you having to integrate Aweber into.

So, I highly recommend you get started using Aweber to build your list.

It's never been easier with their built-in page builder, that you can try for free here.

Three Critical Affiliate Marketing Mistakes

  Three Critical Affiliate Marketing  Mistakes

Don’t Make These Three Critical Mistakes

There are three big mistakes low level affiliates are making
on a routine basis that keep them from succeeding at the level
they want to operate on.

Mistake #1: Don’t Invest in a Good Autoresponder Tool

Your autoresponder tool is the crux of your whole operation. The entire thing is set
up on autopilot, and if it crashes, you’re going to lose your entire affiliate operation.
Skimp on your autoresponder and it might cause you to return to square one with your earnings.
I recommend Aweber – it’s the tool of choice for most marketers and has a high level of
support that helps your emails get through to various ISPs.

Mistake #2: Go After the Make Money Niche (when you haven’t made any)
Look, I know right now you’re absorbing all you can about making money online.
You see products everywhere teaching you how to make money overnight, and it makes you drool.
So your first instinct is to go after the make money niche – after all, it has you hooked,
doesn’t it? Here’s why you don’t want to go after the make money niche – all of your subscribers
will know what you’re up to!

Try promoting to people who are also learning the tools of the trade is more difficult.
Some of them opt out the minute they see two promotions in a row (so you get a much higher opt out rate).
Others will know that you’re using affiliate links and they’ll go buy the same product through their
own link, effectively stealing your commission out from under you.
Dog owners, singles, and golfers (for example) don’t pick your emails apart as a marketing strategy.
To them, you’re just a great guy (or girl) delivering fantastic free information to them on a regular
basis.

Mistake #3: Starting Off Soft and Leading to a Hard Sell

When someone signs up to your list, they get a feel for who you are right off the bat.
Do you email daily, weekly, monthly? Do you have a promotional link in every email,
or every once in a blue moon?

Get them primed to receive affiliate links in every single email by starting out with a system
that does it early on. Don’t send out four emails with no links and suddenly begin bombarding
them with sales pitches. They won’t react well.
