List building - Ad Swaps

--> Clickbank Products

Ad swaps are where you send out an ad to your list promoting someone else’s squeeze page and then someone else does the same for you to their list.

So it’s similar to solo ads except for no one is buying anything; you’re just trading off ads.
The place where everybody has moved to these days is called safe-swaps.com.

Now people are over-mailing their lists with ad swaps.

They’re doing way more ad swaps so they’re getting less response from the subscribers.
Retention rates are going down, click thru rates are going down, but if you still want to generate hundreds of subscribers per day, you still can do that.

The key to profiting from ad swaps is the same key to profiting with solo ads, which is your sales funnel.  So if you’ve got a good sales funnel, you can use it for your ad swaps. Also, ad swaps are a great way to test your sales funnel before you start buying something like solo ads. You’re probably going to get less quality subscribers from ad swaps than you are solo ads, yet it’s still a good indication of whether your sales funnel will convert traffic into sales.

And that’s what’s necessary to profit with ad swaps, because you’re not promoting anything that’s going to be making money directly to your list; you’re promoting someone else’s squeeze page, so you’re relying on the traffic coming from the JV partner’s list to your sales funnel.

Think about how simple this business is right here.

1. You put together a sales funnel
2. You do ad swaps every day.
3. You track your different traffic sources to see which ones—which ad swap & solo ad providers—are sending you the best quality traffic that converts into subscribers and sales
4. You test your sales funnel every day until you’re converting the maximum amount of visitors who land on your page (which List Hijack does for you).

Tips For Timing Your Request For A Raise

With the way that the economy is right now, many people are in a position where they feel that it would sure be nice if they could get a raise at their job - but at the same time, many of these same people are in a position where they are nervous about asking for a raise, lest this request cause their superiors at their job to look at them in a negative light. In all actuality, it is true that management expects their employees to seek raises - and when the employee in question has been doing a great job at work, this is not at all an offensive request - but even once you realize that this is the truth of the matter, it will still be important that you understand how to time your request for a raise correctly, in order to maximize the end results.

Waiting for your annual performance review is the best way to ask for a raise; you can go into the performance review, if you have been doing an excellent job at work, knowing that it is likely you will be commended for the hard work you have done; when the performance review begins to wrap up, be prepared to present your case for a raise - not only letting your boss know that you would like a raise, but also letting them know how much you feel you deserve.

On the other hand, if there is not a performance review upcoming for you, or if you work at a company that does not conduct regular performance reviews, figuring out the right time to ask for a raise can be a bit more difficult. The main thing you should realize is that you should request a raise when you are in the setting of a formal meeting; with no performance review looming on the horizon, you should request a meeting with your boss, and in this meeting you can present a clear case as to why you deserve the raise you are requesting.

And one mistake a lot of people tend to make is that they are afraid to ask for a raise - but once you get past the fear of asking for a raise, you will also need to keep yourself poignantly aware of the fact that there is a right time and a wrong time to ask for a raise, and if you realize you are approaching this at a "wrong time," you should be ready to bail and wait for another opportunity!

Three Things To Get You Started Making Money Online

The idea of making money online is certainly something that appeals to a great number of people - but the fact that it appeals to a lot of people certainly does not mean that a lot of people know what they are doing in this area; in fact, the majority of people who try to make money online have no real clue what they are doing, and this means that you will be in a great position to pass them by if you pick up on some of the key points to making money online.

The first thing that will be important is that you stick to the basics of search engine optimization, which means doing everything you can with keywords and tags on your site; when you do this, you will lay a good SEO foundation on your site, and will effectively let search engines know what they should be looking for as their robots scan your site.

After you have applied these SEO basics on your site, you will want to move off-site for another one of the most important search engine optimization aspects: backlinks; backlinks are the links from another site that point to yours, and because of how valuable backlinks are in regards to SEO, it will be worth it to make the effort to connect with other sites, and to try to stir up links as best you can.

And finally, realize that you can connect with people even outside of search engine optimization through going to other people's websites and through creating a strong and active social media presence; this manner of "going to where the people are" will help you bring them back to your site, and will help you make more money.

When it comes to making money online, traffic is the key to success - and while each successful online marketer ends up finding their own unique path and approach, these keys will help you to get started on the road to generating tons of traffic yourself!

SEO: Hiring Out Versus Going It Alone

If you have a website for your business, you have probably come to realize how important it will be for you to boost this website's online visibility (after all, you are unlikely to get a lot of visitors to your site if no one knows that your site exists in the first place!), but while this might seem like a straightforward issue, there are a couple complications that come into play when you are trying to boost your website's profile: namely, whether it is better to do this yourself, or to hire someone else.

While it would be great if there were an across-the-board answer to solve this problem, the truth is that the answer to this question will be different for every different company.

SEO (which stands for "search engine optimization") is the process of causing your website to appeal to search engines - and there are actually people who are "SEO experts," and who make a living doing SEO work for different websites; the good news about hiring one such expert, of course, is that they are able to quickly carry your website to the top of search engine rankings pages, but the bad news is that they often charge an arm and a leg to do so!

When trying to figure out whether or not you should hire someone to do your SEO work, the main thing you need to determine is which is more valuable for you: your time or your money. For some people, it will be worth the money they save for them to study up on SEO themselves, and to build their website on their own; on the other hand, there will be those who will lose more money in the amount of time it takes them to learn and implement all this stuff than the money they would pay someone else to do it - in which case, it is well worth hiring out!

Of course, it doesn't really matter how you get to the desired end result (that is, a website that ranks highly on search engines) so much as it matters that you get there somehow - but with this knowledge, you will be able to decide whether you want to get there on your own or hire someone else to help.

Exploring The Four Most Important On-Page Ranking Factors

When you are working on search engine optimization efforts for your website, you will want to be focusing your efforts on both your on-page and off-page ranking factors; of course, each is as important as the other, but because of the fact that on-page ranking factors give you more control, this is the best (and most natural!) place to start for exploring the things you will want to do.

When it comes to the on-page ranking factors on your site, the first thing you will want to look at is your text, as your text will be a big part of where search engines end up ranking you; firstly, it will be within your text that you put your keywords - which are a big part of the way search engines see your website - and secondly, readers will read your text, and they will be more likely to share it with others (and to keep returning themselves) if it is good!

When it comes to the work you are doing within your own website, the next thing you will want to focus on is your headings and subheads; this might seem like something you can push to the side, but realize that search engines use these tags to determine what your site contains, and to determine the order of importance of your content, so taking advantage of these will help you quite a bit!

Another thing worth paying attention to on your website is the text used in your navigation menus; rather than labeling different pages as "Page 1," "Page2," and so on, label your pages with descriptive keywords, as this will help visitors and search engines alike.

And finally, one of the most important things of all on your website (and one of the most often overlooked aspects of search engine optimization) will be the tags that readers do not see, but that search engines do; take the time to properly apply everything from image tags to title tags to meta description tags, as all of these things will go a long way in positively influencing your search engine ranking!

Making Your Website Easy To Use

When you are running a website - regardless of whether you have this website in order to promote your business, or in order to try to make a bit of extra money - one thing that will be important is that you pay attention to the principles of search engine optimization; at the same time, however, it is easy to become so wrapped up in your search engine optimization efforts that you forget about all the other things about running a website that are important - including making your website easy to use!

In making your website easy to use, the first thing you should focus on is providing an easy way for your readers to share your site with others; when you include links throughout your site that make it easy for people to share content through such areas as Twitter, Digg, Google Plus, and facebook, you will increase the backlinks you create, and will increase the traffic that comes your way as well!

As you attempt to make your website easy to use, the next thing that will be important for you to focus on is making it easy for people to navigate your site; include a search bar on your site that enables people to search for specific content on your site, and categorize your posts in such a way that it will be easy for visitors to seek out something specific.

And perhaps the most important thing of all you can do in making your website "easy" for users is for you to make it easy for your visitors to get lost in your site; when you include plenty of links within the content of each post you write, readers will click on these links, and continue sinking deeper and deeper into your site! And it just about goes without saying that the deeper a reader goes into your site (and the more time they spend on your site), the more likely they are to return to your site again and again - and to bring others with them as well!

Tips For Getting Hits On Your YouTube Videos

People use YouTube in a number of ways; some people use it to get famous, some people use it just for fun, and some people use it for their business. Regardless of the way you yourself are using YouTube, it is not a very helpful tool if you are posting videos that do not get any hits. Especially if the reason you are using YouTube is to promote your business, it is important that you learn how to get hits on your videos!

Of course, a YouTube video must be something that people will want to share with others, if you want it to get hits. This is the magic of YouTube - one person can post a single video, and this video can be seen by millions as others start to spread it around. One of the keys to making videos that people will spread around is making videos that are actually relevant. This does not mean that you need to try to be "hip" with your video; all it really means is that you need to make sure your video is about something people will care about. A couple great ways to do this if you are using YouTube to try and promote your business is to make videos about promotions, or to make videos with messages to your customers.

Of course, it never hurts for a video to be funny, either, as funny videos tend to get spread around much more quickly. You should also keep your video short - and this can be one of the most difficult aspects of all, but it is also one of the most important. Short videos are much easier to watch, and with them it is much easier to leave your viewers wanting more. And this is another one of the biggest keys: you should always leave your viewers wanting more, as this will cause them to watch it again.

The popularity of YouTube has turned out to be a huge benefit to those companies who have figured out how to employ it in an effective manner. And once you begin to follow these tips, you will be well on your way to employing YouTube in an effective manner yourself.

How To Deal With An Upset Customer In Person

If the job where you work rarely puts you in a position where you have to deal with customers - and where, if you do deal with customers, it is usually through email or over the phone - you will not have to worry about one of the things that is among the biggest concerns of people in the opposite position: dealing with an upset customer in person. When it comes to dealing with an upset customer in person, it is not that you have necessarily done anything wrong that makes it such a frustration - but in fact, the fact that you have probably done nothing wrong heightens the frustration, as the customer will often treat you as though you have done something wrong; for this reason, knowing how deal with an upset customer in person can be extremely valuable, as it can lessen the strain these encounters put on you.

The first thing the customer will want to know is that you are on their side, as they will assume you are "against them" if you are not "for them"; even if you do not necessarily agree with their complaint, you should always be understanding and create an image of agreement, as this will cause them to feel like you are their ally rather than their enemy - which, of course, will prevent them from turning their attack to you.

Once the boundaries of the discussion have been established in such a way that they feel you are on their side, you can take the next step, which is offering solutions; the person with whom you are dealing may turn out to be inconsolable, but at least - in taking this approach - you can try to solve the problem on your own.

When it comes to dealing with an upset customer in person, however, there will be times when you will not be able to solve the problem on your own; if you find yourself in this position, remember that there is always someone above you to whom you can pass this customer along - which is what you will sometimes have to do, as many customers in this position simply remain upset until they get the satisfaction of talking to someone's "superior"!

Finding Items You Can Buy And Sell For More Money

If you are looking for ways to make extra money - or even if you are looking for a creative way to eventually make a full-time living - one idea to consider is finding items that you can buy and sell for profit; with the great reach provided to each and every person by the Internet, it is quite easy these days to find a way to sell the things you have, which means that the main thing you will need to figure out is exactly where you should go to buy these things that you can resell.

Garage sales are a great place to look for things that you can resell for more money - and are perhaps the best place of all for really excellent deals; start going out on Saturday mornings and perusing the items for sale at different garage sales, and you will be surprised at how much good stuff you find - but make sure that you also go in with an idea of what it is you are looking for, lest you end up with a whole bunch of stuff you do not really need, and are not really able to sell!

Estate sales is another option that is along the same lines as garage sales, and even though you will probably not find nearly the deals at estate sales that you would at garage sales, you will be able to find some really top-notch stuff; always keep your eyes open for different estate sales that are going to be taking place near where you live, and look for items that you feel will be easy to sell (and easy to ship!) so that you can quickly turn a profit.

And even though items at antique stores will run you more money than you would have to pay at a garage sale or an estate sale, you can also find some real treasures here when shopping correctly; visit antique stores and get a sense for what they are carrying, then head online to find which of these you might be able to sell for more money on your own.

People often sell things at a low price simply because they need to get rid of these things - and this gives you a great opportunity to swoop in and buy this item yourself, before turning around and selling it for a profit!

Great Investment Books For Every Investor

Each year, there are hundreds of new investment books published. Some of these books claim to be the investing equivalent of a miracle drug, helping you to get rich quick. Other books claim to be full of "tried and true" principles. Some books are all about playing the market right now, and others are all about playing the market for the long term. Some of these books are written by famously successful investors, and others are written by investors you have never heard of; sometimes, you have never heard of them for a reason. With so many options out there each year, it begs the question: Which books are the right books? The answer is actually rather simple: forget about all these books; instead, go back to the ones that have been around, the ones that have stood the test of time. While there are certainly valuable books that have been published over the last few years, these long-standing books have been proven to be absolutely invaluable, and they will help you lay a great foundation. All three of these books are full of advice and wisdom that will help any investor, whether you are brand new at this or have been doing it for ages.

1) The Intelligent Investor: This book, written by Ben Graham, was originally published in 1934, and even today it is still considered a must-read. Warren Buffett even called this book "the best investing book ever written."

2) The Essays Of Warren Buffett: And speaking of Warren Buffett, this book contains his collected essays, arranged by topic and relevance. While you cannot go wrong with any Buffett book, this one is a great place to begin, as it will help you in every area of investing.

3) Common Stocks And Uncommon Profits & Other Writings: This book by Philip Fisher explores fifteen qualities of an excellent business. These in-depth thoughts from one of the greatest financial thinkers in history is sure to help you expand your portfolio.

By taking the tips of these men who knew how to make the market work for them, you can start to make it work for yourself; no longer will you be one of those who thinks the people who make money in the stock market are simply lucky; instead, you will know from experience that the people who make money in the stock market just plain know more than those who do not.

Advice on Online Marketing Strategies

The challenge of getting found online is a tough one to meet. This area of business is one that keeps evolving over time. Following the advice of an expert is probably the best way for you to begin getting your business found online. Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs is a book written by two internet marketing experts, Dharmesh Shah and Brian Halligan. Be sure to take their advice to heart if you want to make it in the internet marketing environment.

The traditional methods of marketing are better known as outbound marketing methods. This technique involves your pushing your marketing out to your clients. These methods usually include outbound calling, commercials, and mass mailing. In the recent past these types of techniques worked much better than they currently do. Tuning out these techniques is becoming easier and easier for a majority of consumers today.

Marketing is moving away from these outbound methods into a different area. The book details the newer techniques that are being used and they are referred to as inbound marketing. Instead of bringing your marketing into the eyes of consumers you will have them coming to it on their own. The key to doing this is to make your marketing available for them to find, making your marketing much less forward than before.

There are many different ways to do this. Most consumers use search engines to find products they want, making them the most popular area. Blogs are very popular as well since a very specific audience can be targeted. And recently social networks have entered the discussion since customers can follow your business. The book will go over all these methods in detail.

So as marketing changes your techniques must change as well. You will fall behind the pack if you continue to use old inefficient methods of marketing. Take advice from the experts who are willing to share their ideas, like Shah and Halligan. Learn about inbound marketing by picking up their book soon and reading through it.

Tips For Using Your iPad For Work

The iPad is one of the most popular products these days, as it gives you a surprisingly natural way to interact with your "computer" by allowing you to hold it in one hand and use the touch screen to navigate - but in addition to its uses as a "toy" or a "diversion," many people find that the iPad is great for more productive things as well, such as work; of course, the iPad is great for work if you are able to use it for such, as it is much more compact and easy to transport (and easy to carry around!) than a laptop - but you must also realize that the iPad was not "designed" to be a work device, and because of this, there are a few things you will need to do in order to turn your iPad into something you can use for work.

The first thing you need to realize is that typing on an iPad is not the same as typing on an actual keyboard, and unless you are an extraordinarily slow typer, you will not be able to type nearly as fast on an iPad as you would be able to on a keyboard; because of this, one of the main things you will need, in order to turn your iPad into a "work device," is a bluetooth keyboard.

It will also be important for you to realize that the iPad is not equipped with Microsoft Word - nor, for that matter, is it equipped with a similar word processing program; because of this, you will need to purchase a program in the app store that will allow you to type in the same way you would at your work computer - and while there are a lot of different apps available for this task, the one that many people find works best is Pages.

And of course, you will need an intuitive way to share files across different computers - and while you can use email for this, this process can be made a whole lot simpler by having iCloud or Dropbox to naturally share files with hardly any effort on your part.

And of course, you will need patience if you want to use your iPad as a work device; it can be difficult to get used to this at first, but once you are used to it, you will realize that you are able to work from your iPad just as well as you can work from your regular computer!
